Kick December off with the Christmas Festival of Lights

Elton John Spends A Day On The Green
When: Doors open 4pm, Saturday December 7 2019
Where: Mt Duneed Estate, 65 Pettavel Rd, Mount Duneed, 3216, Geelong
Sir Elton John is a singer, composer, pianist and all round British national treasure who has been blessing the world with his talents for decades.
As part of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, Sir Elton will be making his second ever appearance at Mt Duneed Estate, following a huge concert at the venue in December 2015.
Set to be a night you’ll never forget for all die-hard fans and fresh supporters alike, the concert should mark a date in any music-lover’s diary.

Denis Walter Carols By The Bay
When: 7–9:30pm, Saturday December 7 2019
Where: Eastern Beach Reserve, Waterfront Geelong
Sing along to Christmas hymns being performed by some of our region’s most talented artists, as well as other notable national performers.
Hosted by Denis Walter, Carols by the Bay will leave you feeling festive with the spirit of Christmas. What better way to spend an evening with the family than sat on the lawn watching the sun set over the bay, while enjoying the free concert.
A fireworks display will be held at the conclusion of the event, at approximately 9:15pm.

Geelong Toy Run 2019
When: 09:00am–03:00pm, Sunday December 8 2019
Where: Deakin Waterfront Carpark
The Annual Geelong Toy Run is set to raise funds and collects toys, gift vouchers and non-perishable food for local charities and services for the 27th year.
The ride leaves Deakin Waterfront Carpark at 9am, travelling down Brougham Street and out onto the Portarlington Road. Continuing on through Drysdale, Portarlington, Indented Heads and St Leonards.
The ride will be finishing at Princess Park, Queenscliff, where there will be entertainment, food and auctions. It’s a spectacular sight to see, with 1,500 or so bikes all joining forces to help Geelong Charities.
All types of bikes are welcome, entry per bike is $10.

Geelong Vegan Lifestyle Market
When: 10am–2pm, December 21 2019

Look no further — this ethical living fair will showcase alternatives to various non-ethical products, and allow you to discover the ways in which living a sustainable lifestyle is easier than you think.
With over 30 stalls, food trucks and live music, it’s a great way to spend a day in the sun, by the water, with friends and family.
Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead and cleaned up after. The event will be held at Transvaal Square (opposite the yacht club) in Geelong.
Dancing Heads Boxing Day Music Festival
