Geelong’s floating Christmas tree sound and light show
Geelong’s annual tradition of displaying a Christmas tree on the waterfront has been greenlit to continue this year! An event not to be missed, this year’s celebration will be broadcasted via a live feed making the spectacular sighting accessible to everybody from home here! The tree can also be enjoyed safely outdoors in-person with all appropriate COVID-19 regulations in place such as social distancing and masks where large groups of people are involved. The Floating Christmas Tree sound and light show will be staged each night from 8:30pm – midnight playing every 15 minutes.
Christmas Projections
The city’s iconic light projects are also going ahead with Christmas-themed projections scheduled to be shown against City Hall nightly from 8:30pm – 11:30pm. The projections will appear on City Hall’s Gheringhap street facing façade. Shorrts Place, a short walk from City Hall in Geelong’s CBD will also be illuminated with festive projections each night.
