What's on in July
The Gen Fyansford community is never short of something fun to do. Read more to discover our round up of July’s best activities!
Baarack the Lost Sheep
Baarack the lost sheep received worldwide fame earlier this year when he was found wandering the Cobaw State Forest Victoria, in desperate need of a haircut!
The National Wool Museum, only a few moments away from Gen Fyansford, will showcase the story of Baarack and his very large fleece alongside lively illustrations from local children’s book author Renee Treml and new films shot on location at Baarack’s new home, Edgar’s Mission.
Setting a Guinness World Record for heaviest fleece which weighed a staggering 41.1kgs, discover Baarack’s story at the National Wool Museum this July. Tickets can be booked here.
Bellarine Farmer’s Market
The Bellarine Farmers’ Market is made up of local, hardworking and talented growers, makers and creators who come together to showcase the very best of the Bellarine Peninsula and beyond. The market is located amongst the gum trees in the heart of Ocean Grove, a relaxed seaside town on the Bellarine Peninsula – just a short drive from Geelong and Gen Fyansford. Spend July connecting with your local neighbours and businesses. Entry is free.
